Good day.
I'm looking forward to this one because aside from some computer work and taking my kids to/from school, I have NOTHING that requires me to leave the house.
It's been literally months since I could say that it seems so I'm relishing it like glazed donuts.
On the blog front, I've got project news re: #projectvicarious
Things are moving right along.
Design work in the living/family room is finito.
All of the big pieces have been ordered, with the exception of the coffee table and curtain panels/hardware.
Accessories and pretty books have been sourced...
...and I suspect we'll be ready for a bit of a reveal apres move in mid-March.
Exciting times.
And since this room is finished, we've moved focus on to my client's little girl's room.
As you may remember, our scheme really revolved around some Nina Campbell Paradiso loveliness...
Sadly, client's hubs is not really a fan so we've switched gears (insert designer sad face).
After sending a ginormatron list of possible alternates, client couple have decided to go with a love you long time fave of mine...
...Osborne and Little's Grove Garden.
Now, here's where you come in...we're debating between two of the colourways.
The first one, is that which you see above and would look something like this on our board...
And colourway numero deux looks like this...
So...which do you prefer?
The bolder bluish/green/gold option with more colour or the softer creamy/grey/silver option that would lead to a more tone on tone palate?
Keep in mind when making your choice that the bed is lavender...let's reminisce about its gloriousness for a minute...

...and bookcases/trim/window will all be painted in high gloss BM Cactus (pink swatch on the board)...basically an entire wall will be high gloss pink.
Also, curtain panels are still in the works so don't apply the ones you see there to your decision making...I'll be sourcing fabrics once a wallpaper colour has been decided on so that we can do a little something like this...
...i.e. fabulous fabric capped off with a even more fabulous pelmet box.
Thoughts/words of wisdom/advice?
I'm trying to think of other things that you should keep in mind when coming up with you 2 or 5 cents.
Chandelier is still in the works...a brilliant blogger friend of mine (Elyse from Peonies & Brass) sent me this shot of a Murano goddess for sale in Montreal...
...sadly, after many calls to different shippers etc., there is ZERO possibility of us getting it go Chicago for any sort of dollar value that would make sense:((((
PS, if anyone out there might just be taking a trip between the two cities in the next month or so, give me a holler...we'd pay very kindly for your troubles;)
What else...some combination of these Etsy finds is definitely happening...

...at least I hope so...with these wallpapers, the fuschia benches will likely win out.
Oh and PS, if anyone out there is looking for a sweet girl's room plan, here's one our of the reject pile that I'd be happy to make happen, minus the bed and lucite chair that is...
LOVING the trellis paper and that 80's pastel bench shown above, how pretty would it be in this scenario? Good, good.
And with that, I'll say laters for now and tell you to make sure you pop back tomorrow...a VERY good giveaway will be happening.
Oh, one more thing...does ANYONE out there know how to turn off LinkedIn email notifications?
I've tried everything I can think of and my inbox is still being littered with announcements- not cool.
Merci helping friends.
xo

I like the softer option. Also, I have biscuit bedding (lilac fiona) on my bed, and it so delicious. Glad you are putting it in the room either way!
I love love love the green colourway - it gives more options and is a bit warmer. I guess it depends if you want to give the wall paper a starring role or more of a supporting actor kind of deal... :)
Oh I do love the green! But I think I'm tempted to go with the paler option for this space, the lavender bed and pink bookcases are so gorg.
the lucite chair on casters is perfection!
I have most of the samples of Grove Garden including the second one - love it. I think because it is more neutral, the second one will work better with the lilac bed, pink glossy wall and everything else. It's quieter but still has presence.
And for Linked in, go to Settings and Email preferences to set the frequency of emails or no emails.
Where did u get the Nina Campbell wallpaper?
you seriously find the BEST things!
The neutral room for sure!!!! I am disappointed that the original wallpaper was rejected. :(
Oh it's so pretty. I like the blueish paper best :)
The bluish / green scheme is great. Linkedin is so annoying I know what you mean- I too am being bombarded, no idea how to turn it off either.
Oh I'm so disappointed that shipping didn't work out for that Murano beauty! I was crossing all fingers and toes that you would find a way . . . having things so close within your grasp only to slip away is the WORST! xoxox
I'm a fan of the second gray blush combination and if you could get that bed - SWOON!

i love how bold you are....and how your husband is so cool with your choices....
I'm so torn. I was initially thinking the green option may not have such of a good flow with the other items, but I think it might be the perfect contrast to the amount of pink going on - not that that's a bad thing. I think the green would be a great balance, to tie it all together.
Definitely loving the second option! I love how the pink/red are the main colours in this choice

Love option #2....gorgeous!! Take care, Caroline
yes m'am! love it all...I like the first mood board coloring....yes that is my fave...
I prefer the first inspiration board...the colours throughout the room are tied together so nicely. In terms of Linkedin, this is what worked for me: under your name pull down Settings -> Email Preferences (on the lower left corner) -> from there you can choose what emails and frequency of emails you wish to receive.
I also love the softer look...especially that lavender bed frame!

go with the neutral! i did a girls room in a soft green/lavender palette a few years ago and there was too much going on visually. Let the language of the furniture be the focal point! Love the rejected scheme as well, wah wahhhh :(
Love both, but I think I prefer the blue green. Can't wait to see how it all comes together!
Prefer the blue-green, more fun and still timeless to the eye...the colour of the bed would appear increadible against the soft blue green walls...and the furniture could be more mature and also calmer ...belgium linen beige drapery would be an option.....to anchor it down with something, if putting up a wallpaper that beautiful in a child's bedroom, might as well go for colour ... i would make sure the furniture is not too many colours as well though...but you probably know that! ciao Z
I'd do the second one! Super chic!
You are a goddess at finding major goods on Etsy! Tough choice, but I think I like the first colorway. Either one is a winner though! And dying for all the accessories you've picked for the living room! It's all gonna be reals good!

Straight guys are so annoying. Sorry for the wallpaper veto.

C!! you and i must talk wallpaper more often!! I think we are wallpaper twins separated at birth!
That O&L paper is also one of my all time favs and I literally have every colorway possible of that pattern at home (sample that is)
love the lucite chair! I just don't know how you find all these gorgeous pieces!!
I would definitely go with option 2. I think the neutral wallpaper color is much more soothing and relaxing for a bedroom. I have to say that the lavender bed is fantastic and fit for a princess! Love!! A sweet matelasse coverlet like this one would look so charming with that bed.
I love # 2 AND that bed, lucite stool and bamboo vanity!!! AWESOME.
